PREMIUM FLIP-CHIP MIP

Deep blacks. Brilliant color. Pure cinema.

Viral’s premium Flip-Chip MIP technology is designed for crisp, lifelike detail, richly saturated color and deep, inky blacks. Brilliant highlights against a dark canvas create striking contrast, bringing depth and dimension to every scene.

Fine pixel spacing helps the image feel continuous at the right viewing distance. With pixel pitch, processing and calibration matched to your room, subtle textures and cinematic color come together in a picture that feels vivid, natural and remarkably real.

Project-intent guide

What the design must resolve.

01

Screen Size & Aspect Ratio

Choose a screen that fills your view comfortably and fits your room. Match the shape to the films and shows you enjoy, with a clear plan for how different formats will display.

02

Seating & Sightlines

Plan screen height and seating together so every row has a clear view. Leave enough viewing distance to take in the whole picture comfortably, without looking sharply upward.

03

Pixel Pitch & Picture Detail

Choose pixel pitch for the nearest seat, then tune brightness and color for the room. The goal is fine detail and a cohesive picture that stays comfortable through a full movie.

04

Surround Sound & Acoustics

Position speakers and plan acoustic treatment around the screen and seating for clear dialogue, immersive effects and balanced bass. Your partner designs and separately quotes this part of the experience.

05

Lighting & Room Controls

Manage reflections and distractions with dimmable lighting and shades. Your partner can coordinate controls into a simple movie-night scene that dims the room and selects your preferred source.

Know your wall package

A remarkable picture. A clearly planned system.

Your Initial Design Proposal covers the configured video wall components, selected processor and included 8% matching spare parts reserve and remote-support Mini PC. The optional warranty extension is a separate line item: the current environment-specific extension. Installation and partner-supplied audio, lighting, sources, shades and automation are quoted in the Complete Proposal after the site survey.

How it works

Compare the specifications and scope in your proposals

Indoor and outdoor choices

Indoor: Flip-Chip COB or Flip-Chip MIP in 0.9, 1.2, 1.5 or 1.8 mm pixel pitch.

Outdoor: Advanced SMD in 1.9, 2.6, 2.9 or 3.9 mm pixel pitch.

Processing for the project

We select from NovaStar H2, H5, H9 and H15; VX400 Pro, VX600 Pro, VX1000 Pro and VX2000 Pro; and TU15 Pro, TU20 Pro and TU4K Pro. The exact model, installed cards, inputs and operating mode must support your wall and source layouts. A model name or total pixel capacity alone does not establish compatibility.

Cabinet assembly and wall mounting

Our indoor EZ-LATCH cabinet connections are designed to simplify assembly, with adjustable connectors supporting alignment between cabinets. The wall mount does a separate job: standard French cleat or project-selected three-axis adjustable mounts secure and align the display. Your installation team confirms the right mount, prepares the wall, connects power and data, then commissions the finished system.

Included and optional protection

Indoor screens include a 2-year manufacturer parts-and-labor warranty, with an optional 5-year extension (7 years total) for 15% of eligible MSRP. Outdoor screens include a 2-year manufacturer parts-and-labor warranty, with an optional 3-year extension (5 years total) for 15% of eligible MSRP. The extension is priced on the wall, including its matching spares, and processor(s), before customer discounts. Steel bezels, mounting brackets, separately priced installation and partner room products and services are excluded from that price basis. Covered repair labor remains included. All indoor and outdoor screens include 8% matching spare parts. Parts and labor coverage includes normal wear and tear during normal use under standard operating conditions. Coverage begins at completed installation commissioning. Ask your homeowner’s or commercial property insurance provider about adding your video wall and protection against accidental damage, lightning, and natural disasters. Confirm the coverage and exclusions with your insurer.

Indoor: detail without a bulky display

Choose Flip-Chip COB or Flip-Chip MIP in 0.9, 1.2, 1.5 or 1.8 mm. The display is built from serviceable cabinets, so the picture and the installation can be planned together.

Cabinet body
600 × 337.5 × 40 mm. Mounting, cable space and service clearance determine the full installed depth.
Cabinet frame
Die-cast aluminum with alignment and heat-dissipation features. Published cabinet weight is 5.6 kg; the mount and other equipment add to the installed load.
Quiet construction
Fanless cabinet design suits rooms where mechanical noise matters. Other system equipment may use fans.
Refresh and source rate
7680 Hz LED refresh with a 60 Hz source operating standard. These measure different things; processor mode and camera performance still need project confirmation.
Assembly
EZ-LATCH connects neighboring cabinets. French cleat is the standard wall mount; adjustable 3D mounting is selected for recessed installations or uneven surfaces.
Audience coverage
160° horizontal / 140° vertical viewing angles, specified at 50% brightness. Brightness, color and contrast can change with the viewing position.
Brightness and grayscale
COB: 550–800 nits across the current pitches, including a 600–700-nit range at 1.2 mm. The selected MIP family lists 800–1000 nits. Up to 16-bit grayscale is configuration dependent; it does not describe the entire source signal path.
Native resolution
The family lists 640 × 360, 480 × 270, 384 × 216 and 320 × 180 pixels per cabinet for nominal 0.9, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8 mm respectively. Your wall’s native resolution is calculated from its approved cabinet matrix and arrangement.
Redundancy
Power and data backup can be specified for a project. It is confirmed and priced with the actual hardware.

These are product-family references. Your proposal identifies the approved configuration and its applicable specifications.

Outdoor: visibility with the right protection

Advanced SMD in 1.9, 2.6, 2.9 or 3.9 mm. Choose the cabinet width and brightness for the location, content and expected viewing distance.

Cabinet options
750, 1000 or 1250 mm wide × 250 mm high, with a 50 mm cabinet body. Native pixel count, mass and electrical load are confirmed for the chosen width.
Published brightness
1.9 mm: 3500 nits; 2.6 and 2.9 mm: 5000 nits; 3.9 mm: 6000 nits. Final operating brightness is set for the location.
Protection
IP65 front / IP54 rear. Rear connections, equipment housing and exposure still require site planning.
Operating temperature
−20 to +45 °C. Direct sunlight and enclosure conditions must stay within the approved equipment limits.
Refresh and maintenance
3840 Hz LED refresh and full front service access. Source frame rate is separately 50/60 Hz. Mounting and working clearance are established for the actual installation.
Audience coverage and grayscale
140° horizontal / vertical viewing angles, specified at 50% brightness, and 16-bit grayscale processing. These do not promise identical image quality at every seat or a 16-bit source signal path.
Cable management and layout
Concealed cabinet cable management and horizontal or vertical module layouts support a tidy installation. Supported orientation, control mapping and site wiring are confirmed for the chosen configuration.

These are product-family references. Your proposal identifies the approved configuration and its applicable specifications.

Operating life and ongoing care

The published 100,000-hour LED life rating describes time to 50% of initial brightness under the stated source conditions. It is separate from warranty and does not guarantee failure-free operation for that duration.

Matching LED modules, power supplies and receiving cards are included as an 8% reserve, rounded to the nearest whole part per compatible type. Replacement, eligible repair and return to stock are tracked throughout service.
